Your course. Your thinking.
An AI tutor that starts with your course.
Bring your notes, slides, homework or textbook. Chalkchalk asks what you’ve tried, helps you find a next step, and points back to the course material you can check.
Free to start. Your coursework, together.
Start with an attempt.
Open a homework conversation, try the composer and inspect the same course workspace used in the app.
Sample data and scripted guidance. Preview work stays in the demo.
Start where you actually got stuck
A useful question does not need to be perfectly worded. Paste a problem, describe your attempt, or attach a photo of your work. The tutor can help you inspect your reasoning one step at a time.
- Keep each homework question with its own conversation.
- Return to an earlier attempt without starting the discussion over.
- Use a personal course, or join a teacher-led class with a class code.
Your material gives the explanation context
Add PDF, DOCX, PPTX, text or Markdown material you have permission to use. Course explanations can refer to the textbook pages or lecture slides behind them, so you can compare the guidance with what your class actually teaches.
Study beyond one homework question
Use the same course to review flashcards, create practice problems, write and run code, or plan an essay with your own evidence and draft. Your material stays together rather than being scattered across unrelated chats.
A guide you still need to check
AI can misread a file or make an incorrect explanation. Compare citations with the original material, follow your course’s AI rules, and bring unresolved questions to your teacher or TA. Chalkchalk is designed to support your reasoning; it does not guarantee academic integrity or correctness.
Questions you might have
Can I study without a teacher?
Yes. Start a personal course and add your own permitted material. Personal study is not shared with a teacher.
Does uploading a textbook automatically give me permission to use it?
No. You need the right to upload it, share it with the intended class and have it processed. Owning a copy or having a library login does not automatically provide those rights.
Is the tutor free?
You can start with a free weekly allowance of AI use. Reading files and using AI study features count toward that allowance. Paid student plans offer more weekly use.
